Cummins Engine Warranty
Cummins Base Engine Warranty, applicable to new EPA 2017 and later B/B6.7 and ISB Series diesel engines, covers warrantable failures resulting from material or factory workmanship defects during normal use. This warranty starts from the sale date and lasts three years after the engine's delivery to the first user. Engine after-treatment components on Cummins Critical Parts List (CPL) with Cummins part numbers are also covered under the Base Engine Warranty.
Emission Warranty
The Emission Warranty covers new B and ISB Series diesel, LPG, and natural gas engines marked by Cummins for transporting people or goods on Canadian roads. This warranty applies to engines delivered to the first user after October 1, 1996.
Cummins assures that the engine, at the time of sale, complies with U.S. federal emission regulations and is free from material or workmanship defects that would cause it to fail these regulations within the longer of two periods: (A) Five years or 160,000 kilometres of operation, whichever occurs first, as measured from the date of delivery of the Engine to the first user, or (B) The Base Engine Warranty.
