New features include an air suspension driver’s seat, tilt and telescopic steering wheel with controls, cruise control, a large 7” LCD multi-information display, driver’s seat belt sensor and fast charging USB ports. The Hino XL Series is equipped with the Cummins L9™ engine, a proven workhorse, that boasts 35+ years of production with more than 5 million engines manufactured globally. The design of the next generation EPA 2021 L9 delivers class-leading power and torque ratings, an unmatched power-to-weight ratio, to get the toughest jobs done.
Ratings range from 300 to 360 horsepower (224 – 268 kW) and up to 1,150 lb.-ft. (1,559 N·m) of peak torque, the L9 has the power to meet your needs. That’s dependability and uptime you can expect from Cummins.
The Allison 3000 Series transmission, in both Highway Series (HS) and Rugged Duty Series (RDS), is the exclusive transmission in the Hino XL8.
